Baby Shower Gift Packaging

My daughter and I had a baby shower to go to this past week. I normally like to give something hand made - like a brag book but I just didn't have time to put one together. Instead we went and picked out a couple cute outfits and I made the boxes to put them in. I love this paper pack - Tall Tales - it is so cute. I think it will be great for scrapbooking photos of my son!

To create the bottom box I started with a piece of so saffron 12x12 and cut just shy of 1/8" off two sides. Then I scored it at 2-1/4" on all four sides. I snipped up to the score line on two opposite sides and folded the flaps in, using Sticky Strip to keep it together. I repeated the same process for the lid but used a sheet of the Tall Tales dsp instead of cs and didn't trim the 1/8" off. This makes the lid slightly bigger so it fits nicely over the base.

To create the top box I did the exact same thing except I scored all four sides at 2-3/4". This created a slightly smaller box but deeper. I think it turned out super cute!

Of course, I had to use the coordinating stamp set (Animal Stories) to create a little gift card. It's hard to see in the photo but it says hello baby. This is one of the images from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (115370). I am loving this set - it has a greeting for every occasion you can think of! So very versatile and worth every penny!

I will be back tomorrow with a scrapbook page that I worked on last night.

Have a wonderful day!
Sherry
