1 Happy Grandpa MDS Layout

Happy Monday morning!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  I must say that I can breathe a huge sign of relief now that our garage sale is over!  It ended up being a huge success!  I was a little concerned on Saturday morning because it was raining and incredibly windy.  We actually shut it down for an hour or so but then it cleared up and ended up being a beautiful day.  We got rid of so much stuff - I love doing a good clean every year where you can just purge.  Everything that was left has been boxed up and sent to off to Goodwill.  So happy that is done for another year.
On Sunday we had a great visit with a Debbie, Nicholas and Michelle, our good friends from Ottawa.  We always have a great time with them.  Our kids see each other once a year and every year, it's like they've been together all along, there is no 'warm up' time.  It's just fun from start to finish.  I'm curious to see what the next few years bring as Jordyn and Nicholas hit the teen years.  They are a day short of a year apart (Nicholas being older).  Debbie and I have been friends since junior high - so for a very long time!  It's so fun to see our kids get along so well.

Anyway on to todays project...  It's been a while since I've shared a digital project so I thought I would share a layout I started a couple weeks ago and finished up last night.  I love this photo of Abby and my Dad and had to do a layout. 

Here's what I used to create the layout:

• Cheerful Treat dsp (both background and pink patterned paper)
• Font is CK hand
• Stitching is simple stitches line 4 in chocolate
• scallop border was created using the all scallops brush set

I hope to be creating a bit more in MDS lately so watch for more layouts etc.  Tomorrows Tuesday - do you know what that means?  New digital downloads!  I look forward to seeing what's new!
