Magical Scrapbook Layout

 Hope you are having a wonderful Friday!  Unfortunately, I am coming down with a cold and have been sneezing like crazy.  Hopefully the medication I took kicks in before my workshop tonight!

It's been a little while since I've share a layout with you, well one with photos anyway so I have a few to share with you over the next week or so.  This was one of the layouts that I created for scrapbook club this month.  To create the background, I used My Digital Studio and the star punch to create several sized stars.  To do this all you need to do is open an 8-1/2x11 page, select the desired punch (in my case the star).  Once it's added to your page, you can enlarge it.  So I did this creating several different sized stars, all on the same page.  Then I saved it as a jpg file, printed it on copy paper and then cut them out.  Use temporary adhesive (Dotto) to attach them to the black cardstock in a random pattern.  Then I spritzed it with our silver smooch spritz.  It looks fabulous in person, if you click on the photo, you'll be able to see it enlarged.

The dsp that I used is from the Big Top dsp paper pack - LOVE it!  I also added touches of shimmer with the silver glimmer paper from the Holiday Mini - the shine on that paper is amazing!  I used a few different borders on pages - the scallop trim border punch I think is obvious.  But can you tell what I used to cut the daffodil cardstock?  I used the top edge of the Fancy Favor Box die!  It's got such a nice decorative edge to it that I thought it would be great as a border.

My journalling has since been added to the page and it has been added to my neglected Disney album.  These photos were from the spring of 2008 and I'm ashamed to say that only 8 layouts are in that album:{

Hope you enjoyed todays layout!  I'll be back with another tomorrow - a Halloween one.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sherry

What a fantastic idea for a background Sherry! I'm definitely going to remember this for the Disney album I will be making in the spring!
