Heritage Scrapbooking Class

I hope you all had a great weekend!  We did - I have lots of projects to share with you but that will have to be another day.  Today I have something to share with you that I've been working on for the last few months.

First I want to share with you how and why this came about.  In 2011 we lost three grandparents.  Their loss made me realize that time is so short and we really do need to appreciate all the time we have with our family.  It also made me realize how little my kids knew their great grandparents.  So I have decided to put together an album about each of them with a bit of their great grandparents' history so that they can get to know them, even though they are gone.

As I've been working on the layouts, I realize how little I knew about them myself.  It's been interesting to find out some things along the way that I didn't know or had forgotten.  It's also made me realize that it's so important to document stories from your family members, young and old while you can.  I wish I could go back in time and ask them about their lives and get answers to all the questions that I have about growing up at that time, about the challenges they've been through and how they managed to overcome their hardships. I have so many questions...
All this has inspired me to offer a Heritage Scrapbooking Class.  Where we will go over how to preserve your old photos, memories and how to document them.  I'd love to share with you what I've learned and help you to create a wonderful keepsake that can be passed on to your family.  Hope you can join me!
