Tag Punch Star

Have you have been checking out Splitcoasts Holiday Tutorial Blitz? If not, you should, there are some fabulous holiday project ideas. You can check out what everyone's been creating in the Holiday Project Showcase. I have loved them all but when I saw todays' tutorial, I had to immediately sit down and try it out. What an out-of-the box use for the tag punches! There is a step by step tutorial here, if you want to give it a try.

The first thing that came to mind was the Blizzard Designer wrapping paper, so I went with the Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip color combination. I had one small piece of the Chocolate Chip satin ribbon left - just long enough to fit the length of the card so decided to use it on the card as well. By the way if you don't already have the satin ribbon - it goes on sale on Friday (November 23rd) - buy one and get one free. The scalloped edge is done with the corner rounder on one of the papers from the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit. I also used that same paper to punch out a 3/4" circle to go behind my clear button. The warm wishes was stamped with Bashful Blue craft and then clear embossed. This was a really fun card to make. It looks really involved but is very simple - you should give it a try!
