Custom Colored Ribbon

Did you know that you can use your markers to create a custom ribbon? If you use our white grosgrain or tafetta ribbon you can use our Stampin' Write Markers to create ribbon in any of our 48 colors! I created a multi-colored strip of ribbon by using markers in the colors from the Summer Picnic designer series paper (Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue and Real Red). I then used that piece of ribbon as a purse strap on my card! How cute is that! The purse was made using the square and circle punches - if you are looking for a quick and easy birthday card - this is it! I then used my markers to ink my greeting from Full of Life (Occcasions Mini Collection).
Another way to use your markers on your ribbon is to just add color to the edges like I've done in the sample below (white ribbon with Brilliant Blue edge). For this, you want to use the fine tip of your marker and stay on the border as much as you can, otherwise the color will blead into the ribbon.

Until next time,
