November Scrapbook Layout & an out-of-my comfort zone card

I've got a couple things to show you today. The first is the scrapbook layout we did at my class on Friday. It's hard to tell but I stamped all across the bottom with the grass image from Inspired by Nature in chocolate chip craft ink. The photos that are matted were also sanded around the edges using our sanding blocks. The title was done using a combination of the Serif Essentials and Gogo Boots dies for the Big Shot. I love that I don't have to cut out letters anymore!

This next project is the reason for the second part of my title. This set and the colors are so not my style. But because I got the set for free I had to ink it up. My daughter is at the perfect age for this type of card and she had a birthday to go to this weekend so this is the card she used. I love the glitter in the eyes and the adorable bow. I also did this card for a swap that my team did about a month ago. So what do you think? I'm still not convinced.

Before I forget, you will want to check back here on Wednesday SU! will be announcing a promotion that will only be available for a few days. From what I understand, they are offering bundles at a discount between 20 and 50% off while quantities last. That's all the details I have but am so excited to find out more.

Until tomorrow,
