Favorite Things Mini Book

Today I have a mini book to share with you. I did this for the Encre/Papier/Ciseaux Challenge - you can see the details here. Marika created this beautiful album for her mom for this challenge - you've got to check it out. This is the first challenge I've ever done but I love how it turned out and the timing couldn't have been better.
My motivation for the album was my daughter. She's got a big birthday coming up and I just wanted to document what she's into right now. A couple days ago, I was looking at some scrapbook pages of her when she was a baby and in preschool and I just realized how quickly she is growing up. This challenge was perfect for me right now so I just put everything else aside (planning for workshops/clubs/classes) and spent my spare time this weekend working on it. I'm quite happy with the way it turned out! I'd love to hear what you think. (You can click any of the photos to have a closer look).

To create the album I used the large scallop die for the big shot and cut out a bunch of scallops in the colors from the Rockability Specialty paper. I really wanted to stick with a minimal number of supplies so I used the Just Jawing stamp set; Ticker Tape Alphabet set; a few different punches and the Gogo Boots Big Shot alphabet. I think the only thing I used that wasn't an SU! product is the rub-on on the beach photo - that is a Making Memories rub-on.
Until next time,

Wow, Sherry!!! So glad you could take part in the challenge - that is one wonderful album!!! And you used the Rockabilly papers - a girl after my own heart! (And I do have a soft spot for those GoGo Boots letters, too.) Love, love, love how everything came together so nicely.

Thanks so much for sharing! Your daughter is going to flip when she sees it.

Have a great week!
Cindy :)
