Photo Organization

I hope that everyone had a fabulous Easter weekend! We certainly did - we spent a lot of time visiting with family and eating way too much.

For those of you who receive my newsletter my scrapbooking topic this month was on how to organize your photos and I had promised to share how I organize mine. This first photo is of the system complete. What I've done is taken one of our Forget Me Not Keepers (105525) and created monthly dividers using our Calendar stamp (109298) and Full Calendar set (114966). I have the years color coded and marked on the front of the plastic divider that comes with the Keeper. In the next picture you can see the dividers. I have the year stamped on white cardstock using the Big Deal Numbers set (114930) and mounted on Tangerine Tango cardstock (111349) which is the color I chose for 2009.

Whenever we have an event or I take some photos I record them on the calendar. You can see this on the last photo which is of April of last year - it's hard to see the details because they are written in pencil but you get the idea. This helps me when I sit down to scrapbook my photos. I try to print my photos every couple months to stay on top of things but if we haven't had any significant events I will wait a bit longer.

I find this system has really helped me scrapbook more recent photos. My daughter celebrated her birthday in March and most of the photos have already been scrapbooked! That doesn't mean that I'm caught up - not even close. However, I've been really enjoying scrapbooking recent events! If you'd like to order any of these supplies, click here to order online.
This system may not work for everyone but it has helped me immensely! I'd love to hear how you organize your photos.
I will be back later this week with my stamp club projects and with some other projects I've been working on.
Until then,
