I hope you are all having a fabulous ‘love day’ as my Eathan calls it. I have a fun project to share with you today – a different style of a card. I believe I first saw this on Patty Bennetts blog some time ago.
I used the fabulous Sweet & Sour specialty dsp – did you know it has a glossy pattern on some of the pages? It’s beautiful. Anyway, the jacket is simply a 3-1/2″x7-1/2″ piece of dsp, scored at 3-1/2″ and 7″ from the short side. If you’d like to punch a window, punch it now before assembling. I used the Decorative Label punch. To assemble, all you do is add adhesive to the 1/2″ flap and attach it to the inside of the opposite side to form the sleeve.
To create the card, cut a 3-1/4″x10″ piece of cardstock and score it at 4″ and 8″ from the short end of the cardstock. I used Tombow adhesive and added just a thin bit up the sides of the shorter flap to create a pocket. To decorate the card and envelope I used the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. The V is from the Broadsheet Alphabet and the Happy Valentine’s Day is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (a must have). The vanilla cardstock inserted into the pocket measures 2-3/4″x3-3/4″ and I added the punched decorative label dsp piece to the top of the card.
This is a great little card that can be easily customized for any occasion and works wonderfully for gift cards!
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope your day filled with love!
Sherry
