Perfect Pennants Birthday Banner Card & a Happy Grandpa!

Good afternoon!  Crazy busy weekend for us but lots of fun! My brother and his family are in town for the next couple weeks so we spent Saturday afternoon and evening with them.  We haven't seen them in 3 years so this sweet girl was only a baby!  Needless to say, my Dad was in all his glory with all his grandkids together!  I think this photo says it all.  I hope that your weekend was full of joy just as ours was!
On to todays project!  This was inspired by one that I saw on the cruise created with the Just Add Cake dsp.  I decided to use the Flirtatious Specialty Paper and coordinating cardstock to create mine.  I love how it turned out!  You may see a version of this card at an upcoming card class - watch for my September schedule which should be out by the end of this week.

The first photo shows it all closed up.  It even tucks into one of our 3x3 mini note card envelopes!  The second photo shows it open - wouldn't you just love to get a card like this for your birthday?!

It actually looks a lot more detailed than it really is...  The scallop pieces were cut using the Perfect Pennants die (123126) and the Big Shot (113439).  The dsp was punched using the 1-3/4" circle punch (119850) and the letters from the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet die (115951).  All the pieces were then attached using silver brads.  Easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by today!
